into clear provider reports.
CMS publishes raw datasets — NPPES, MIPS quality scores, Open Payments, Medicare Part D prescriber data — but they sit in spreadsheets most patients can't parse. We pull all of it together into one readable report per provider, so the credentials, prescribing patterns, and federal sanctions are visible at a glance.
Data you can verify yourself
Every profile is sourced from CMS NPPES. We re-sync the database every week. Click any provider's NPI number to look it up on the official registry.
No sponsored placements
Providers can't pay to rank higher. Our ordering uses public CMS quality signals (MIPS scores, completeness of NPPES data), explained on the methodology page.
Our editorial standards
One rule keeps every report honest: if a fact can't be traced back to a federal source (CMS NPPES, OIG LEIE, HRSA, CDC) it doesn't appear on a profile. Specialty labels, practice locations, MIPS scores, exclusion notices — every field links back to its source dataset.
How we approach it
NPI Telehealth isn't a marketplace. We don't broker appointments, take a cut, or rank providers by who pays. Three principles guide how each provider report comes together.
Federal data, surfaced as-is
Profiles aggregate the same fields hospital credentialing offices look at — NPI number, taxonomy classification, practice address, MIPS quality reporting, and OIG exclusion status. Nothing self-reported by the provider.
Filter the way patients actually search
Specialty, state, city, and telehealth availability — the four filters that match how people search. 244 specialties across the 50 US states, DC, and territories.
Honest about what we don't know
If a provider hasn't reported MIPS data or doesn't have Open Payments disclosure, the profile says so — instead of pretending the field is zero. Empty fields stay empty. Limitations are called out.
