TERMS OF
SERVICE.
Last updated: March 2026. Please read these terms carefully before using our platform. Your use of this service constitutes acceptance of these terms.
Welcome to NPI Telehealth. By accessing this website (npitelehealth.com), we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use NPI Telehealth if you do not agree to all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
1. Nature of Service
NPI Telehealth acts as an independent informational directory connecting patients with healthcare providers utilizing data sourced from the National Plan and Provider Enumeration System (NPPES).
We are not a healthcare provider, medical facility, or pharmacy.
We do not offer medical advice, diagnoses, or treatment plans.
Information found on this site should never act as a substitute for professional medical consultation.
In the event of a medical emergency, please call 911 or your local emergency services immediately.
2. Provider Verification
While we aggregate our directory from official federal registries (CMS), we do not independently verify the individual medical licenses, malpractice history, or current board certification status of the practitioners listed beyond their active NPI issuance.
The appearance of a provider on NPI Telehealth does not constitute an endorsement, recommendation, or guarantee of the quality of their medical services. It is the sole responsibility of the patient to verify a provider's credentials, insurance network participation, and suitability before commencing treatment or booking a telehealth appointment.
3. NPI is Not Credential Verification
A National Provider Identifier (NPI) is a unique identification number issued by CMS to health care providers. Having an active NPI means only that a provider has registered with CMS. It does not verify or confirm any of the following:
Current state licensure or license status in good standing
Board certification or specialty credentials
Malpractice history or disciplinary actions
Current practice status or availability to see patients
To verify a provider's license and disciplinary history, visit your state medical board directly or use the Federation of State Medical Boards physician lookup tool at fsmb.org.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, NPI Telehealth, its founders, and affiliates shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or in any way related to your use of this website or the healthcare services provided by the practitioners listed in our directory. We provide the platform "as-is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
Specifically, we are not liable for:
NPPES Data Inaccuracies: Errors, outdated information, or omissions in provider data sourced from the CMS NPPES registry.
Provider Quality or Conduct: The actions, quality of care, or professional conduct of any healthcare provider listed in this directory.
Technical Errors: Service interruptions, data loss, security vulnerabilities, or any technical failures of the platform.
Indirect or Consequential Damages: Lost profits, loss of data, personal injury, or any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages of any kind.
Because NPI Telehealth is a free service, our total liability to you for any claim is capped at $0.00.
5. HIPAA Disclaimer
NPI Telehealth is not a HIPAA Business Associate and is not subject to HIPAA's Business Associate Agreement requirements. We do not store, process, or transmit Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA.
Do not submit any medical records, diagnoses, treatment information, or other PHI through this site (including in review text fields). If you believe you have accidentally submitted PHI via a review or contact form, please contact us immediately at admin@npitelehealth.com and we will promptly delete it.
6. Review Moderation
User-submitted reviews are moderated to maintain accuracy and protect all parties. We reserve the right to remove or edit reviews that:
Contain profanity, hate speech, or offensive language
Are demonstrably false, misleading, or defamatory
Contain Protected Health Information (PHI) or other sensitive personal data
Appear to be spam, fake, or submitted in bad faith
If your review is removed and you believe this was in error, you may appeal by emailing admin@npitelehealth.com within 5 business days of receiving notice of removal. Include the provider name and the content of your review in your appeal.
7. Third-Party Links
Our platform contains hyperlinks to external websites (e.g., provider portals, booking systems, telemedicine platforms). NPI Telehealth has no control over the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our directory and to read the terms of service of each website you visit.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
Other than the public domain NPPES data, we own the intellectual property rights for all original content, design, logo, and architecture on NPI Telehealth. You may view and/or print pages from npitelehealth.com for your own personal use, but you must not republish, sell, rent, reproduce, or systematically scrape the proprietary UI data from this website.
9. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. By using this website, you agree to be bound by the current version of these Terms of Service. It is your responsibility to periodically review this page for updates.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless NPI Telehealth, its founders, officers, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the site; (b) any review or content you submit that is false, defamatory, or in violation of these Terms; or (c) your breach of any provision of these Terms of Service.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the federal or state courts located in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
12. Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. The remaining provisions of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
If you have any questions regarding these Terms, please contact us via our Support Page or email admin@npitelehealth.com.
